Daily Duties at Hp (@ Rockwell Collins):
Part of team providing second and third level server system administration for Wintel/Citrix environment of 1000+ servers • Support included both proactive and reactive incident management, problem management and change management, use of system logs, event manager and other tools to investigate and resolve incidents. Citrix management (various tasks, using pools and farms, troubleshooting bottlenecks) and use of VMWare for P2V and V2V migrations. • Planning, implementing and supporting changes on production servers and customer facing applications. • Servers included Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Citrix and CitrixXen. • Server management database focal • Quality assurance of new server builds and server decommissions. • Updating firmware, adding/increasing size of SAN storage, managing drive space (virtual or physical)
