Daily Duties at Capital Blue Cross:

Develop, Plan, Organize, Lead and Monitor internal consulting department focused on the unique needs of corporate national account clients which comprised the top 2% of business. Hire, Mentor, Develop and lead team of 5-8 individuals with varying levels of backgrounds and responsibilities. Lead cross-functional team of individuals within the corporation. Team received awards for Financial Management, Customer Satisfaction. Overall performance of this team also earned the corporation national recognition of being High Performing/Low Cost among 42 offices. Develop unit/department budget that supports all needs of the sales, marketing and rating areas as well as other departments within the enterprise. Budget level is $1 million+. I was able to hold this budget level to a 0% increase for 5 consecutive years. Provide consulting to internal departments regarding national trends and competition in order to allow us to favorably position ourselves in a highly competitive industry. Efforts lead to an increase in national account business of 2-5% over a 2 year period.
