Daily Duties at Federal Aviation Administration:
As the Regional Crisis Management Coordinator from inception I have developed in whole the Western-Pacific Regional Policies, Procedures and Guidelines on Crisis Management with very little supervision. This required research and development in both a formal manual and a training program for all the Regional Personnel. Several other regions have adopted in whole or part these policies, procedures and guidelines as their Crisis Management Program. Additional duties, during a National/Asia Pacific Area of operation, I was tasked with supervising the Crisis Center. This tasking consisted of starting the Center's administrative systems, deployment schedules, tracking of Security Directives (SD), review and analysis of Agent's Reports, condensing these reports for the National Management review of threats and needed adjustments to SD's, Air Carrier Standard Security Programs (ACSSP) and Foreign Air Carrier Master Security Programs (MSP), to counter the threat in the theater of operation. (Contact Supervisor: Yes, Supervisor's Name: Robert Dawson, Supervisor's Phone: 310-725-3700
What they like about Federal Aviation Administration:
Working for a company with an emphasis on social values and helping society is a clear and important priority for you - a critical factor in who you choose to work for. In contrast to other factors, you place an organization's reputation for fairness and concern for the community above most other aspects of the company. As you search for a new job opportunity, it is usually possible to find out if the company is involved in the community and/or if it is addressing problems and issues in society. Pay special attention to non-profit organizations and those specifically involved in social action. Moreover, speaking with current and former employees should enlighten you to perceptions of the fairness of the company's leaders and the treatment of employees.
