Supply chain optimization consultant for the military and defense industry. Certified Six Sigma Specialist. • Analyzed annual test equipment expenditures, segmented sources of major capital expenditure areas, and established long term agreements with key strategic test equipment suppliers. Approximate savings: $5M. • Designed and implemented multi-year procurement strategies for electrical commodities across multiple defense programs. Analyzed and assessed market trends and supplier business risks by evaluating financial and quality performance. Conducted price analysis by investigating price escalation curves and supplier cost structure. Provided recommendations to senior management on supplier source selection. Led to a cost savings of $3M over the life of the contract. • Created and implemented the Supplier Quality Rating Procedure. Led to a decrease in purchase orders placed with non quality certified suppliers, resulting in a total cost savings of $200K/year. • Authored the division wide supply chain sourcing/procurement process and procedure. Identified root cause of purchase order non-compliance and analyzed inefficiencies of the existing procedure. Trained and devised an incentive plan for procurement groups to follow new procedure.
