Delphi Corporation Work Values

Daily Duties at Delphi Corporation:

IC Delco is a specific group at Delphi Corporation that designs integrated circuits to fill the needs of the electronics that Delphi produces. This group was made up of 8 separate departments that employed approximately 500 people during the time that I was their budget coordinator. My duties were: To create the project work order budget for each departments active projects. This included determining what budget monies were assigned to each projects work orders. After upper management approval I would create each work order and assign it to the specific project. I ran monthly reports to show the current actual spending versus budget for each work order. I also ran head count budgets for each project to not only aide in determining what monies would need to be assigned to that project but to also show when more employees needed to be assigned to a project to meet the project time line. I created an Excel database during this time to monitor actual versus budget expenses and was asked to work with Electronic Data Systems so that they could take my database system and write the programming needed to duplicate the logic on Delphi's mainframe computer to be used for Delphi worldwide. This took approximately 1 year to complete and when implemented I trained the Delphi employees in the Kokomo, IN plant in the use of the database and reporting system.
