Daily Duties at Hurt And Proffitt, Inc:
• Design and develop plans for a wide verity of civil projects, such as road, water and sewer plans for subdivision & industrial parks; site plans for utilities sub stations; commercial & industrial site plans, and water quality & quantity measures. • Acts as subject matter expert and adviser for water resource management, including drainage designs and stormwater management and quality measures as well as developed stormwater templates for other engineers use. • Perform project management, which includes monitoring billable hours, cost estimates; and prepare statement of work, solicited, and process bids. • Develop project timelines and interim deadlines. Assign tasks to multi-disciplinary teams, such as survey teams, traffic studies, and environmental and geotechnical studies. • Supervise and manage work allocation for team members assigning to my projects, including drafter and EIT. • Coordinate communication, between various entities, such as developer/owner, reviewers, contractor, construction superintendent, and vendors to ensure completed projects are on time and under budget. • Perform construction administration to include onsite inspections to verify work meets specifications, real time plan modifications, and final site certification for payment authorization. • Participate in multi-disciplinary teams for complex projects. • Perform traffic counts and assist in preparing traffic studies. • Review and corrects other Professional Engineers site plans
