• Developed new methodology that determines workpiece and friction coefficients for FE simulation of machining using orthogonal cutting tests (sponsored by the New Jersey Space Grant Consortium) • Designed FE models to optimize machining parameters in order to have favorable residual stresses within the machined parts (Use DOE to design simulation runs) • Conducted many hard part machining experiments and wrote detailed technical reports • Published six international journal and four conference papers • Instructed in manufacturing processes laboratory course
