Daily Duties at Mastercard:

• As a Developer involved in the coding, designing, development, testing and implementation of programs for billing sub systems, along with creating JCL’s, procedures, control cards, screens and other components. • Design and code scenarios using COBOL, CICS, DB2 for billing and integration of related subsystems • Responsible for the coding, design, development, maintenance and enhancement of existing programs. • Extensive work in creating, casting and executing Endevor packages besides adding/moving elements thru various Endevor environments like development, QA, Certification, hold etc. • Provide production support, technical assistance, testing and implementation of the system for both Online CICS and Batch applications. • Performed Unit, Regression, System, Functionality and Performance tests on multiple platforms and environments. • Process the DB2 Tables using SQL queries in SPUFI and QMF to test the programs. Fixed various types of DB2 abends, running Explain to fine-tune the performances of DB2 queries. Used various types of joins in queries, Cursors processing. Compiling/Binding the programs through Endevor. • Creation of test matrices for different cases after each application program is done. • Doing Spec Walkthrough and Code Walkthrough after each Program to make sure the program meets the business requirements and Coding Standards.
