Daily Duties at Telecom Italia, Italy:

• Analyzed usability of various mobile browsers like JB5, Netfront, Opera Mini and Web on the Symbian and Windows Mobile operating systems for Nokia 6620 and imate SP5M mobile phones • Re-designed the web based portal for smart phones • Enabled intermittent data transfer of medical readings using XML to the servers at the Health Service providers • Programmed in Java to generate text alerts and phone alerts to remind patients to take their medicines or record readings • Enhanced the portal to enable the physician to receive alerts 24/7 if the medical parameters of the patients were above the recommended threshold. This was done in Java using, Spring framework, Hibernate and Acegi for security • Enhanced the mobile portal to permit the physician to adjust dosage of medicines on a demand basis. • Developed Wizhealth portal for mobile and videophones to provide medical services in the area of telemedicine • Created Requirements analysis and documentation for Wizhealth enhancement to provide the physicians a choice to set rules for receiving alerts from patients using the Spring framework. • Implemented the Initial Cache Load process, in which the data is pre loaded everyday and it increases the performance of the Cache system. • Implemented the DataProvider interface (Lazy Loader or JDBC read through) provided by the GigaSpaces and made it available to the space. This class will read the back end data using JDBC. • Implemented the Lazy Loader process in such as a way that it reads the current System State and switch the JDBC connection to HFB if the mainframe is in SAMS Fallback state. • Used Java POJO Objects to store the data in the Cache. • Developed a Test Client, which does a Lazy Load of data into the cache as well reads and displays the data in the cache. • Developed Test clients which, listens for any changes to the data and updates it, to perform some Health checks and also tests the System State. • Developed scripts which run the Test Clients as well as to Start/Stop the system. • Installed the system in a Production like environment tested it by accessing the data locally as well as remotely by using the deployed service bean exposed as a Web Service.
