Supervised Purchasing Department. SPSM Certified. Responsible for creating processes and procedures for cost effective purchasing. Developed procedures that provided the means to monitor supplier performance, delivery time, manufacturer compliance and error percentages. Calculated monthly and yearly material requirements to facilitate purchase and delivery of raw materials. Negotiated contracts with suppliers. Coordinated all aspects of material planning and stock room material flow. Developed computerized spreadsheets to track daily receiving, packaging, and shipping. Produced Standard Operating Procedures were there were none. Produced a total package of controls to inform management of budget criteria. Consistently exceed goals set by corporate vendor programs, by developing innovative cost-saving methods. Responsible for preparation and delivery of all financial reports, as requested by President/COO.
