Daily Duties at Pet Smart:

* Serves customer by providing merchandise; supervising staff. * Maintains store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. * Maintains store staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. * Creates positive partnerships with the Store Manager, Store Support Groups, District Contacts, Vendors, and Associates,demonstrating a high level of integrity. * Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personal policies and procedures. * Manages time effectively by prioritizing tasks ,and is able to handle multiple responsibilities. * Demonstrates proficiency using computer applications that include,but are not limited to the following: SAP, PetsTime, Computer Room functions, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). * Formulates pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends. * Markets merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans. * Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store. * Achieves financial objectives by reviewing annual Profit and loss budget ; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. * Responsible for the opening, and closing procedures, ensuring bank deposits are accurate. * Ensures availability of merchandise and services by approving contracts; maintaining inventories.
