Create and disseminate messages to both internal and external audiences. Maintain relationships and liaise with stakeholders through information sharing and community participation. Organize, advertise and recruit for community outreach programs and activities Lead Command Photography Team. Write and disseminate news releases to local, national and international media outlets. Coordinate press coverage of events involving Naval Health Clinic Charleston and/or its staff. Lead full-range, team communication efforts resulting in a reduction in patient no-shows from ~7% to ~3%, leading to annual command savings of ~$500k.
