Daily Duties at Cambridge Industries Inc.:
Initiated and managed training services department of a 1,200 employee automotive manufacturing facility. Tasks included: plant-wide needs assessment and performance improvement activities, development of tools to determine a baseline of job knowledge, performance-analysis of work areas, training materials, task documentation and evaluation tools to measure learning and ROI. Program was awarded a $400,000 matching-funds grant from the State of Illinois to assist program development. Role-based development curriculums were implemented for all employees and productivity gains exceeded 10%. Other tasks included management of successful certification of QS 9000 (Auto-industry equivalent to ISO 9000) status involving over 100 multi-level employees, manager of the Employee Assistance Program, management of the Productivity Improvement Program, and start-up of the Employee Literacy Council.
