Daily Duties at Sekon Enteprise Inc:
Developed Strategic Plan for correcting operational and architectural problems with a very large accounting system (HIGLAS) based on Oracle E-Business Suite (Federal Financials) which processed 2 million transactions per day. Performed analysis of other FMSG systems to determine how they should be merged or evolved towards SOA technology. Created Service-Oriented Architecture Roadmap for all applications in FMSG. This covered all aspects of evolving the organization and its systems to SOA. Analyzed alternative products for use within FMSG and wrote recommendation papers identifying which alternative should be procured and used. Evaluated use of Oracle Application Integration Architecture (AIA) Foundation Pack, a SOA-based framework for linking E-Business Suite to external applications. The framework would be used interface HIGLAS to about 40 external applications. Also evaluated use of Oracle SOA Suite as a part of delivering a SOA-based solution tied to E-Business Suite. Developed presentations on various topics (Introduction to SOA, Oracle SOA Suite vs. IBM SOA solutions, Overview of BPEL) and presented to CMS staff.
