Daily Duties at Wbko:

Manage all aspects of Marketing/Promotion, Production, Technical and Creative Services and station Programming departments. Responsible for public relations and community affairs. • Managed, reviewed and provided final approval to all non-news department edits and productions. Included program development, execution and all station promotion. • Produced and supervised production of advertiser commercials and set the direction and pace of on-air and community promotion…took market share in Barren County from Nashville market, adding about 15K households to DMA/ADI and increased revenue stream. • Developed and coordinated company special events such as station cook-outs and catering events. Negotiated for food, tents, and music/bands to support mini-festivals that included activities of music and personality’s picture and autograph opportunities. Utilized news cut-ins from out-lying counties to add households, which means increasing ratings and revenue. Company rose to number one rated newscast in the country for the Early News, 6pm and 10pm broadcasts. Continues as a top 10 rated station in the country.
