Daily Duties at Covance Research Products:
Responsibile all operations of an AAALAC accredited NHP quarantine facility (capacity: 416 single-housed, 832 double-housed) that generated approximately 2.1 million dollars in annual revenue. Performed and/or supervised all veterinary work to include performing all necropsies with appropriate reports being forwarded to CDC. Worked with CDC, US Fish and Wildlife, USDA, and various custom agencies and airlines to ensure the successful importation from various Pacific-Rim countries including Mauritius as well as exporting to various countries in Asia, Europe, and North America. Assisted with planning, reviewing, and monitoring fiscal budget. Responsibile for the physical operations of an SPF barrier facility and supervising as many as thirteen technicians, as well as serving as a back-up for the supervisor.
