Daily Duties at Display Services:

My duties as Project Manager/Estimator required me to read and analyze drawings from many different sources and to translate the specifications contained in the drawings into estimated project cost. I used the specifications and cost to develop a strategy for execution of the proposed project. This included identifying outsourcing of certain operations, locating vendors for required materials, developing in-house operations flow, and scheduling of all aspects of the project. A key component of my job included the development of Excel based estimating tools. In the first two months on the job, I developed tools in Excel that were used to translate characteristics of jobs described in drawing specifications into estimated project costs. These tools were the exclusive tools used by the company for estimating project cost. I was awarded a bonus for successful completion of development and proofing of the tools in a timely manner. I was developing a real-time data collection system for collecting project cost when corporate closed the division where I was working.
