Daily Duties at Iowa National Guard:
My role as System Administrator primarily focused on machine and network management. Responsibilities included but were not limited to the following: A)System Administration of Unisys 5000/80 Mini-Computer systems, HP9000 K200 Mini-Computer system, and several UNIX based PCs’. B)Network design and layouts within our organization and the Camp Dodge network. This responsibility covers all phases of the operation from analysis & design to installation, as well as firewall and perimeter network setups. C)Technical advisor for several other UNIX hosts statewide. Our office supports over 10 different computer and network operating systems. Additionally, I supervise 10 employees in the absence of my boss.
