- Continued providing technical support to Systems Engineering and test support personnel in the area of requirements definition and verification - Continued supporting requirement assessment and costing information to cognizant unit management - Continued to be responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of major pieces of ephemeris and ephemeris-related software - Continued providing technical support in the resolution of Discrepancy Reports (DRs) - Provided technical assistance and direction to peers and subordinates in the design, implementation and testing of ephemeris software - Provided technical assistance to Systems Engineering in support of an engineering study leading to the development of an operations concept for potential ephemeris work 1985 - 1988 General Electric Co., Military and Data Systems Operations, King of Prussia, PA Senior Programmer/Analyst - Responsible for design, code and debug of several software modules belonging to the Ephemeris Management CPCI (Computer Program Configuration Item) - Supported test personnel during both Segment Level Test (SLT) and IC&T (Integration, Checkout and Test) - Prepared documentation for delivery - Directed several junior personnel in performing the above tasks - Trained new personnel in the methodology and software tools used by the Ephemeris Management CPCI - Provided assistance to Systems Engineering in the initialization and validation of the ephemeris data base in preparation for Segment Level Test - Provided requirement assessment and costing information to cognizant unit management - Provided ephemeris software expertise to Systems Engineering in the preparation of RFCs (Requests for Change) - Provided ephemeris software expertise to Systems Engineering in support of Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) - Performed technical investigations leading to the resolution of Discrepancy Reports (DRs) - Performed technical investigation to improve the wall clock run time of an orbit determination software package consisting of a sequential forward filter and a backwards smoother: - The software consisted of 400 subroutines - The investigation led to a 40% decrease in the program’s wall clock run time - This investigation and run time improvement led to my receiving the Software Development Achievement Award, as well as receiving the Ground Systems Department’s General Manager’s Award 1983 - 1985 General Electric Co., Military and Data Systems Operations, King of Prussia, PA Programmer/Analyst - Successfully completed development of Performance Evaluation (GPE) software (as mentioned during 1981-1983 period) - Supported test personnel during Stand Alone Test (SAT) and Segment Level Test (SLT) - Began new assignment with the Ephemeris Management CPCI (Computer Program Configuration Item) in January 1983 - Responsible for the implementation and modification of ephemeris software to accommodate GPS Selective Availability and Anti-Spoofing; software modified included: - GPS ephemeris data management software - User orbit determination software using GPS observations - Supported development effort through Definition Phase - Provided support to both Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and Critical Design (CDR) Review - Responsible for the preparation of supporting documentation - Provided support to test personnel during Stand Alone Test (SAT) Phase of development 1981 - 1983 General Electric Co., Military and Data Systems Operations, King of Prussia, PA Programmer - Responsible for the design, code and debug of scheduling software for the Performance Evaluation (GPE) CPCI - Responsible for developing prototype of scheduling software - Used to flush out issues supporting critical design - Used to support Systems Engineering algorithm validation effort - Used prototype to provide kernels for code and debug phase - Presented detailed design to customer at Critical Design Review (CDR) - Responsible for software’s documentation
