Daily Duties at Emageon, Inc:

•Organized and built a new IT organization for a startup healthcare software company that developed PACS systems. There were no processes in place and no standards, all of these had to be developed and implemented. The highly technical company grew from 45 employees to 500 in 5 locations and three countries. Duties included managing the day to day activities of the development team for internal systems to managing the support staff for all internal hardware. Result: The team successfully ran the organization with half the resources normally required for a company of this size, saving the company millions of dollars per year. The company also complied with all HIPAA and SOX regulations.
