•Reviewed hospital patient charts, conducted face-to-face and telephone client interviews, and completed claim forms submitted to government agencies for approval to long term disability benefits. •Worked in fast paced hospital environments communicating with physicians, registered nurses, and social workers about various types of illnesses and diseases. •Collaborated with various Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security Administration (SSA) offices to ensure clients were familiar with all state and federal benefit assistance programs. . • Assured medical referrals were resolved in a timely manner and met regional goals. This lead to a 15% increase in medical bill payments for selected hospital accounts.
