Daily Duties at Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park:

Development of Park Operational policy and procedures for Managers, Employee Manual (HR), Aquatic, EMT, Security, Housekeeping, Pool Maintenance Responsible for Safety, Risk Management (including Legal), and Insurance for park Oversee new facility start-up (1999) Work with and help establish budgets and review expenses for all departments Responsible for monitoring labor expenses and working with Managers and Supervisors to make corrections Develop and oversee guest and employee safety programs Coordinate with HR all compliance areas required by Hawaii OSHA and insurance companies Develop and oversee Risk Management program and coordinate with park attorneys Represent facility in legal matters as park expert Consult new rides, feature, or themed development for park and outside facilities Review and sign company invoices and Accounts Payable checks Involved with continual training of Managers and Supervisors Involved in regular ordering of equipment and supplies for Operational Departments Involved in interview, hiring, training, supervisors and staff for all Operational Departments Work with City and County Health and HIOSH Inspectors to provide a safe, clean facility CPO certified (1993 to Present) Advanced understanding of pools, pool filtration, wave generation, Flowrider, chlorine generation Research and implementation of new cost saving ideas – chlorine generation Additional research variable frequency drives, solar heating, solar voltaic power Director of Facility – since October 2006 Consult with HWAP owners concerning new rides and features Development of Educational programs Lifeguard, First Aid/CPR instructor Hands on management style, willing to do all levels of work to make park safe, clean and fun
