Responsible for developing and implementing worldwide strategic and commercialization plans for diabetes portfolio, including branding and positioning, pricing, ensuring drug development plan alignment with commercial objectives, and directing market research and forecast modeling activities. Director, Glucophage Marketing Directed all pre-launch activities for GLUCOPHAGE® XR, a once-daily version of the #1-prescribed oral antidiabetic, GLUCOPHAGE®. In March 2000, took on the additional responsibility for the professional promotion of GLUCOPHAGE®, with US sales of $1.7 billion and a promotional budget in excess of $40 million. Senior Product Manager, Glucophage Marketing Directed all professional promotions activities for GLUCOPHAGE® including the development of an entirely new product image and concept. Coordinated communication efforts involving two major label changes. Responsible for the lifecycle management and business development activities for the GLUCOPHAGE® diabetes franchise including line extensions, new formulations, new strengths, and licensing/acquisition candidates.
