Daily Duties at Maimonides School:
As Assistant Principal with Maimonides I worked closely with two Principals of the Elementary School. One principal of General Studies and one Principal of Jewish Studies were my direct supervisors. This role meant working with parents, teachers and students on a daily basis to ensure a smooth program. I also hired professionals for assemblies for the children and for the teachers for professional development. I attended meetings with Middle School and High School Administration. I was the parent Liason for the Elementary School and worked closely with the PTO of the school as well as the buildings department who was in charge of security of the school. As a lead teacher at the school before I became Assistant Principal, I worked closely with a Jewish Studies teacher to provide a well balanced curriculum for students. I enjoyed welcoming and teaching new students from Israel at the time who were learning English for the first time.
