Magistrate Court: Prepared and prosecuted misdemeanor bench and jury trials. Interviewed witnesses and negotiated plea agreements. Conducted felony preliminary hearings. Juvenile Court: Prepared and prosecuted status, misdemeanor and felony juvenile preliminary hearings and trials. Filed motions to transfer juvenile cases to Adult status. Represented the State in review of Juvenile Respondents in the custody of the Department of Health and Human Resources. Circuit Court: Assigned to the Honorable Irene C. Berger and the Honorable Jennifer F. Bailey. Prepared and prosecuted approximately 100 felony cases to conviction. Researched and drafted numerous pleadings. Represented the State’s interest in all hearings including arraignments, bond hearings, sentencing, habeas corpus proceedings, expungement hearings, and probation violations. Interviewed witnesses and negotiated plea agreements. Prepared supplemental discovery. Prepared and presented continuing education seminars for attorneys and law enforcement. Achievements: Successfully prosecuted all felony cases taken to trial to date.
