Daily Duties at University Of Wisconsin Madison Plasma Physics Group:
Performed the first localized measurements of ion temperature and ion velocity fluctuations in a reversed field pinch plasma using Charge Exchange Recombination Spectroscopy (CXRS). Conducted final alignment, installation, and calibration of the spectrometer system, and was responsible for system operation. Led the analysis of ion heating during impulsive reconnection events and in high current enhanced confinement plasmas. Developed a unique and robust non-linear fitting algorithm for modeling the CXRS data with fast time resolution.
