Daily Duties at Konica Minolta:
Report to Vice President of Information Technology, recruited to manage the DANKA global enterprise network and IT engineering department consisting of 5 direct reports and the technical oversight of 700 field support engineers. Oversee all functions of the IT Engineering department to include data center management, Infrastructure (Voice and Data), technical support, Windows/Linux, Enterprise Applications, multiple messaging environments, vendor management, operating budget, and Disaster Recovery planning. Notable Accomplishments: * Consolidated, virtualized, and stabilized servers; this redundant approach improved critical system uptime from 55% to99% * Implemented enterprise wide infrastructure monitoring system (System Center Operations Manager); resulting in proactive approach to detecting system and enterprise wide outages. Reducing unplanned system outages from 45% to « 2% * After company buyout, quickly selected as the technical lead to: ** Consolidate network Infrastructure; reducing combined IT operating budget by over $4M/yr ** Migrate and collapse the Danka Enterprise Active Directory (2200+ users) and 4 separate Konica Minolta (9900+ users) enterprise networks into a single Windows2003 Domain; increased business efficiency by 80% ** Establish a standard messaging platform; migrated Exchange 2003 (3600+ users) and Lotus Notes (8500+ users) to GMAIL corporate hosted solution; ** Consolidate datacenters between Danka and KonicaMinolta; reduced overhead associated with multiple datacenters by 50%
