Daily Duties at Mod:

Created and governed a five-year strategy program for the Chief Information Officer (CIO). Increased enterprise productivity and decreased cost of IT maintenance. Utilized TOGAF and DODAF to align technologies with business strategies to produce clear understanding of technology practices, systems development methodologies and standards management. Researched and developed a new architecture to reflect the enterprise’s new business goals. Supervised team to search business information systems and architecture infrastructure to align IT with business goals and increase IT control and governance. Aligned enterprise resources into EA structures and established architecture review board. Drafted enterprise standards, principles and blueprints. Utilized capabilities, processes charts, EPC and BMPN to design enterprise-wide business processes. Modeled information at conceptual and logical levels to expedite information flow. The EA program was responsible for 200 applications, 300 products, 150 databases and more than 1000 servers. • Create roadmap and govern implementation of information collaboration platforms such as Blogs, Wiki, Twitter, mash-ups, etc’to melt different enterprise data into business insights. Indexing and queering across structured, Geographical and unstructured data • Data lifecycle management and reporting (including defining and manage non functional attributes (Security, Availability, Auditing, Etc) • Using data conceptual and logical models for SOA implementation. • Manage and mentor a team of 3 enterprise architects. • Serve as the right hand of the CIO. Dealing with all aspect of IT. • Communicate and establish EA contributes in all levels of corporate management (From director to CEO) by simplifying IT issues to be understandable and acceptable by CxO management. • Actively participant in EA governance ( helping new projects architecture, review new project architecture, Involvement with “Moving to production” and “new system requirements / bug fix” phases in SDLC, Creating matrixes and reports, which reflect percentage of EA principle and blueprints implementations, to higher management) • Led major technology changes ( from monolithic MF applications to web based architecture, Implementation of SOA & ESB) • Supervised 300 developers to in designing and developing more than 100 systems. • Directed architectural effort facilitating technical outcomes including migration from DNA to .NET, Java interoperability and existing mainframe applications, downsizing mainframe applications and developing unique application architecture based on the WEB, improving productivity and reducing costs. • Created best practices for systems development, systems operations, development tools, and platforms. • Using EA for DRP planning and implementation.
