Daily Duties at Boeing Commercial Satellites:

Performed engineering quality tasks for spacecraft assemblies assuring product quality and effectiveness. Provided an independent, mission-success-focused assessment of products measured by identifying & mitigating risks that could compromise success and system performance. My major goals were to identify systemic performance issues (anomalies), propose process improvements, and drive issues to closure. Reviewing of major deviations and waivers, acceptance test results, and all major anomaly conditions. Supported independent evaluation of technical gate reviews (SRR, CDR, TRR, etc.). Supported effective deployment of failure review boards (FRB) with a focus on root cause analysis. Assured that lessons learned were incorporated into program procedures. Investigated failures, including independent reports of root cause and corrective actions based on the organizations database tracking system. Analyzed, identified, interpreted trends, and managed mission-success metrics for review boards. Performed floor audits and training for compliance to Command Media.

What they like about Boeing Commercial Satellites:

Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
