Daily Duties at Internal Revenue Service:
Requested to start up a new Business Division for the National Taxpayer Advocate. Conducted full cycle of hiring all managers, analysts and administrative staff. These positions were in DC and in other areas of the US. Planned, directed, and coordinated human resource management activities to maximize the strategic use of human resources and maintain functions such as employee compensation, recruitment, personnel policies, and regulatory compliance. Analyzed training needs to design employee development, other training and health and safety programs Served as one of the Project Managers for the Annual Report to Congress on the IRS; gathered data, provided statistical information and wrote “Areas Needing Improvement”. Conducted work reviews on the GS-14 managers and the GS-13 and 12 employees and served as a GS-14 in this position. Spearheaded the major reorganization which was mandated by Congress; managed 15 managers responsible for going through thousands of applications and job announcements to screen for the best candidates for all the positions available; served as Labor Management Relations for current employees who were not getting their job. Served as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems.
