Daily Duties at Merant Corp.:
Top performer in numerous consulting engagements implementing a wide range of projects, including SCM Engineering, Build Engineering, PVCS Administration (including scripting for large migrations using the Command Line Interface), Project Management, software validation/verification, Y2K renewal, process improvement and authoring technical documentation. • Installed PVCS Version Manager and Tracker in various environments. Trained users and administrators in the PVCS Professional Suite. • Managed an Independent verification and validation team responsible for testing the integrity of code for Y2K renewal. • Captured all code and applied version control for a major Y2K initiative at Wells Fargo. Established comprehensive procedures and greatly improved processes. • As Team Lead for a major MCI project, managed version control of code throughout various MCI sites. Developed the version control system, oversaw the conversion of files from the mainframe to the client/server environment. • Designed a successful multi-language/multi-OS Software Configuration Management and defect tracking system for a major department within MCI. Instrumental in designing systems, processes, procedures and installing the tools leading to SEI/CMM Level III certification.
