Daily Duties at Lausd:

• Taught all subjects within the primary curriculum, including phonics, fluency, reading comprehension, math, social studies, science, art, and P.E. to a group of twenty ethnically and linguistically diverse students, consistently raising standardized test scores in math and language arts. • Developed strong relationships with parents in a consultative role. • Utilized strong leadership, time management, and detail-oriented organizational skills to lead Local School Leadership meetings covering budget, professional development, and academic curriculum. • Trained faculty and facilitate implementation of Second Step character development program. • Collaborated with faculty and administration to implement positive change as Health Education Program Coordinator, leading Red Ribbon Week and the Great American Smoke Out activities. • Chaired grade level meetings to identify improvement opportunities in school affairs, curriculum development, and performance assessments. • Collaborated with grade level to develop and deliver culturally relevant training methods at faculty professional development meetings.
