Daily Duties at Huawei Tech. Bahrain / Saudi Telecommunications:

• Overviews and supervises the Radio Network Planning and Optimisation Team for the over-all design and performance of the GSM and UMTS network • Identifies new Search Ring as replacement for the difficult sites • UMTS Planning using the U-Net for Saudi TeleComms UMTS network • Scrambling code planning, antenna type selection and azimuth assignment for the UMTS cells. • Planning of HSPA sites • Responsible of projecting the capacity demands of the network to minimize the possibility of congestion • Audited the Huawei UMTS Parameters and suggested values change for the initial rollout. • Handles the on-going parameters modification for the Saudi TeleComms UMTS Network • Involve with the on-going KPI setting for STC UMTS Network • Performed Neighbor assignments(Intra cell, inter cell and IRAT) • Performed evaluation of clusters for assigning P-SC and Tuning and Optimization purposes • Performed evaluation of RNC borders for the assignment of LAC, RAC, SAC, URA. • Strictly monitors the progress of the project from RF Site Survey & Site Acquisition to Single Site Verification • Responsible for the standardization and author of SSV procedures and testing • Prepares the team for the Cluster Optimization • Responsible for the RF parameters settings for the sites to be integrated(GSM and UMTS) • Manages Telecomm Engineers for the engineering and implementation of Rollouts • Performed RF tuning in a live network and clearly understands artificial and real traffic loading • Performs Huawei 3G parameters modifications involving in SHO/HHO mechanisms, INTRA/IRAT reselection, RRM's algorithms, Admission control procedures • 3G sites Neighbor planning using GENEX Nastar Planning tool and its implementation in Huawei’s Local Maintenance Terminal (LMT) according to Neighbor Planning strategy agreed with the customer. • WCDMA Coverage predictions using UNET (Huawei Network Tool). • UMTS Optimisation using TEMS 9.1, Genex Probe 2.2 as drive test/walk test tool to verify the assigned parameters and optimized the integrated sites (RSCP, ECIO, Handover through defined neighbors) • Cluster optimizations, recommendations for the improvement of Ec / Io, missing neighbors, azimuth’s to provide better coverage on VIP routes using GENEX Assistant (Huawei’ s post processing tool). • Responsible for theUMTS Cluster Optimization of nine(9) clusters and generating Pre Launch Optimization reports with recommendations base from the agreed KPI of the Saudi Telecomms. • GSM Optimisation using TEMS 9.1, Genex Probe 2.2 as drive test/walk test tool to verify the assigned parameters and optimized the integrated sites (RxLev, RxQual, Handover through defined neighbors) • Data analysis using TEMS 9.1 Route Analysis, Genex Assistant and Actix Analyzer. • Site Integration – Conduct drive test to check coverage extent, call quality, sectorization and handover performance of newly integrated sites. • Evaluate RAN/BSS optional features (Load sharing, Intelligent Overlay and Underlay, Fast traffic Handover, Forced directed retry, DTX) and its impact in network performance. • Network performance – prepare weekly Network performance report for designated areas of optimization. These reports are presented to high management and serves as a reference to monitor weekly status and improvement. • Currently handling special projects for the enhancement of coverage and quality issues • Performs frequency planning for new created and upgraded sites. • Maintains & updates database and accomplish during and after each Phase
