Daily Duties at Dmpi Suncellular / Huawei Technology:

• Overviews and supervises the DMPI Radio Network Planning and Optimisation Team for the over-all design and performance of the GSM and WCDMA network • Manages Telecomm Engineers for the engineering and implementation of Rollouts and Changeout projects for DMPI – Suncellular • Overviews and supervises Telecomm Engineers in carrying out specific procedures in troubleshooting BTSs hand in hand with HUAWEI support • Identified the Phase 1, 2, and 3 sites for DMPI WCDMA Network projecting possible co-location with existing GSM Network • Responsible for the RF parameters settings for the sites to be integrated(GSM and WCDMA) • Performed RF tuning in a live network and clearly understands artificial and real traffic loading • Handles the on-going parameters modification for the DMPI-Suncellular WCDMA Network • Handles the on-going KPI setting for DMPI WCDMA Network • WCMDA Planning using the ERICSSON TCPU 6.2 (WCDMA) for Phase 1, 2, and 3 of DMPI WCDMA network • Scrambling code planning, antenna type selection and azimuth assignment for the 3G cells. • UMTS Optimisation using Genex Probe as drive test/walk test tool to verify the assigned parameters and optimized the integrated sites (RSCP, ECIO, Handover through defined neighbors) • GSM Planning using Aircomm Asset for Phase 5 and 6 HUAWEI Project for DMPI National Capital Region network • Identify search ring/nominal point of BTS site to accommodate marketing’s coverage requirement for Phase 5 and 6 HUAWEI Project for DMPI NCR Network • Evaluates GSM coverage proposals of HUAWEI by studying the submitted technical site survey report and ensures that marketing requirements are complied • Evaluate submitted conceptual of HUAWEI drawing if the proposed sites are feasible (checked the coverage plots using Aircomm Asset 3G) • Conducts technical site survey to verify HUAWEI’s site plans, possible obstructions and proposed recommendations • Experienced in Distributed Antenna System design(BTS and or Repeaters) – preparation and calculation of link budget, In Building Solution site survey • Conducts RF Walk Test using Genex Probe to determine the dominant servers and their field strength inside the building • Optimized the indoor sites by changing parameters or by physical change in the DAS, based on the gathered data to meet the desired indoor performance • GSM Engineering by recommending hardware modification for NCR, SLUZ and VISMIN sites such as antenna tilting, re-orientation, adding TRXs and the use of booster, TMA, repeater or high power TRX to provide solutions to a particular problematic area • Conducts RF Coverage Acceptance to verify if the existing and new sites meets DMPI’s coverage polygon with HUAWEI’s tools. • Conducts site hunting and detailed technical site survey to identify antenna height, antenna orientation, antenna tilting, number of sectors required and antenna location (for monopole, tower mounted or wall mounted) on HUAWEI Projects • GSM Optimisation using Genex Probe drive test/walk test tool to verify the assigned parameters and optimized the integrated sites (RxLev, RxQual, Handover through defined neighbors) • Network Verification & Optimization - inspection of design implementations, conducting spillage & handover tests for indoor sites, BSS parameterization & neighbor definitions, interference analysis using TEMS. • Site Integration – Conduct drive test to check coverage extent, call quality, sectorization and handover performance of newly integrated sites. • Network KPI monitoring – Analyze worst cell list based on the 6 key performance indicators – Call Drop Rate, Call set-up success rate, Handover success rate, RTCH Congestion, SDCCH Congestion, SDCCH Drop Rate and correlate results with network events (outages, re-hosting and change-out activities, network expansions) not only through DT but with the use of statistical data from HUAWEI’s I-Manager2000. • Evaluate BSS optional features (Load sharing, Intelligent Overlay and Underlay, Fast traffic Handover, Forced directed retry, DTX) and its impact in network performance. • Network performance – prepare weekly Network performance report for designated areas of optimization. These reports are presented to high management and serves as a reference to monitor weekly status and improvement. • Currently handling special projects for the enhancement of coverage and quality issues • Performs frequency planning for new created and upgraded sites. • Maintains & updates database and accomplish during and after each Phase
