Daily Duties at Lsi:

Lead Design • Talked on customer conference calls, scheduled meetings, and assigned tasks to design team. Served mostly a working manager participating on design as well as leading the group. • Set team milestones, kept meeting notes, and charted progress of team as it pertained to customer deadlines. • Managed teams from two to eight people, along with multiple projects at the same time. Delegate tasks to team members. • Utilized good communications skills along with being able to motivate and lead different types of personalities within team. • Worked with cross-functional team to complete customer’s design requirements. • Consistently met or exceeded customer’s deadline on projects. Physical Design Engineer • Physical designer of integrated circuits. Performed design, troubleshooting, and verification of integrated circuits. Proficient with graphical CAD software, such as Synopsys Astro and ICC, Tcl programming, UNIX, and Windows. • Designed various top and block level embedded circuit designs in both .16 and .13, and 90um technology to meet customers’ needs regularly using CAD tools. • Utilized a netlist to generate floorplanning, clocking structure, timing closure, routing and verification of chip level and block level design in support of product launches. • Increased efficiency by developing various flows for chip layout and design utilized by design group for future projects. • Read and debugged Primetime and Synopsis timing reports to fix timing problems in designs. • Manipulated clock tree structures to better skews, insertion delay, and fast clocking structures. • Prepped and verified timing closed designs, and then sent them to be processed for manufacturing. • Connected analog signals to digital circuitry inside the design for clocking. • Received three US patents for work in physical design. US 6600341 B2, US 6781170 B2, and US 6814296 B2. • Received Recognition Award for Outstanding Contribution toward record-breaking revenues with one of Agere Systems Customers. • Received Recognition Award for helping a different division within Agere Systems meet its obligations to their customer.
