Directed and managed the operation of Health & Welfare employee benefits programs, including health, life, accident, disability, and flexible spending plans, for both salaried and hourly employees. Performed related clerical duties as required. Administered leaves of absence including FMLA, Personal, Military and Union. Saved company $100,000+ by terminating expired leaves of absence and obtaining employee portion of insurance premiums from employees on leave. COBRA administration, including managing ARRA subsidy program. Handled benefit renewal and Open Enrollment process, including generation of materials and data entry of Open enrollments to Ceridian. Produced Benefit Enrollment packets, and conduct one-on-one Benefit Orientations for newly eligible employees in Corporate office. Worked with 5000+ employees in 28 service centers to answer health benefit questions and resolve claim issues. Handled payment of all carrier billing, including CIGNA, United Healthcare, BCBS of Western NY, VSP, MetLife, and Reliance.
