Daily Duties at Denton Regional Medical Center Hca:
Assisted in the opening of the hospital in 10/99. Fulfilled the role as staff nurse and on occasion charging, with responsibility to delegate to a staffing assignments. Occasionally float to Intensive Care Unit when staffing needs are required. When needed be one of two RN’s to run the over flow unit CDU. Patient care implemented using the team nursing process covering 0-4 in a scale of high acuity patients per shift. Maintained a staffing grid and monitored budget overhead. Participated in problem solving in staff and conflict resolution. Composed and implemented the policy and procedure for the Emergency Response System in the event of an external or internal disaster. Act as patient advocate; assess patient status and notify physicians of clinical changes. Monitor telemetry for cardiac patients that have had extensive procedures from Cardiac Bypass Surgery to Heart Catheterizations. Bedside procedures from removal of sheaths to post catheterization to removal of Jackson prate drains post CABG. Monitoring external temporary an internal pace makers. Coordinate service, treatments and consultations using meditech computer system.
