Daily Duties at Kcc – Kansas Corporation Commission :

Coordinate and conduct interviews to complete the initial analysis required to identify opportunities, implementation options, required resources and initial project deliverables, including project scope, project statement, project approach, cost/benefit analysis and initial project milestones for business, executive and stakeholder buy-in. Developed agency publications to announce the project. Coordinated and facilitated meetings to develop procedural guidelines, complete business and process analysis, document project development stages, project schedule, WBS and requirements specifications. Ensure task completion, adherence to project schedule and quality of deliverables. Business process analysis, requirement analysis, system matter expert, coordinator and project manager for the data base conversion for a strategic multi-year project. Completed the implementation and documentation of new systems as well as enhancements and replacement of existing systems; These efforts include project management, database analysis and design, business and technical requirements analysis, business functional design and problem resolution, reporting, testing, quality assurance, user documentation and training; A few of the larger projects included automating and centralizing company and contact information used in assessments, timesheet electronic approval, inventory control, Ad Hoc query user interfaces and joint project with KHP (Kansas Highway Patrol) for Civil fines assessment; Automation of other accounting systems, including receipts, account receivable reporting, voucher processing, invoicing, budget documentation, collections and interface development to other state agencies and collections firms. Assist other team members in resolving logic and technical issues; Support existing systems and resolve user technical and business process flow problems; Complete analysis of potential new products; Chairman of the Infants at Work Committee for the KCC, which researched and implemented policies and procedures allowing parents to bring their infant to work; Co-Chair for Project Topeka events; project coordinator for IT office remodel.
