Daily Duties at Retail Organization:
Divisional Head Buyer -Tappoo Group Of Companies, Fiji Islands [May 1996 – May 2009] •Managed and supervised a team of sub-ordinates. •Corresponded, liaison and maintained excellent international supplier relationship in United States Of America, Australia, New Zealand, France, Singapore and Germany. •Purchased world renowned brand products for the company for resale. •Checked and approved purchase orders. Ensured that right product and quantities were ordered at right price. Cleared stocks through promotions and avoid over buying of products. •Launched new products in retail stores. •Inventory management, stock re-shuffling and vendor refill ordering. •Coordinated shipment from international locations (Air and Sea freight), arranged documents for customs clearance, data entries, internal costing, stock receiving and distribution of goods. •Mitigated invoices for discrepancies and resolved. •Conducted product retail pricing, advertising and merchandising. •Focused on sales growth and implemented in-store promotions. •Arranged payments (Wire Transfers or Checks) for suppliers internationally. •Provided monthly brand sales feedback to directors. •Prepared monthly brand budgets, liaise with managers and inspected retail stores. •Attended to general queries, conducted business meetings with international suppliers, prepared minutes of meeting, organize trainings. •Assisted marketing team to prepare promotional catalogs and signage or tickets. •Maintained Fiji Rugby Union Sponsorship account & payment reconciliation. •Air Pacific Airlines products submission and market research. •Excellent problem solving, decision making and multi-tasking skills.
