Daily Duties at Westat:

• Developed strategy to achieve timely and quality data submissions. • Monitoring and updating project database in MS Access. • Arrange and lead weekly team conference calls to discuss facility issues and weekly tasks. • Used MS Excel to prepare weekly summary reports to assess the progress and status of data collection at each hospital. • Analyzed data quality using query systems and statistical reports. • Scheduled Quality Control checks and provided data quality feedback to the data collector. • Documented issues that affected the consistency of the data collected. • Worked with the staff recruiter to determine the best candidate for open positions. • Identified attendance and productivity issues. • Supervised 50-60 DAWN Remote data abstractors working independently in various hospitals out of home office in Rockville. • Reinforced project protocol and procedures to ensure consistency in our data collection process. • Provided feedback and counseling to improve deficiencies in job performance. • Issued disciplinary actions including written warnings, probation or release to data collectors who were unable to meet project expectations. • Prepare and mail project memo and correspondence using mail merge. • Develop and monitor strategies for back data collection. • Assess and monitor facility needs as well determining work flow needs. • Running of weekly productivity for verification of project standards • Coordinates automation of distribution for facility and reporter training materials
