Daily Duties at Asymetry Corporation:
Asymetry created and sold an Enterprise Search Appliance that crawled and served structured, unstructured and syndicated content. • Asked by founder to assist an early stage company. • Worked with the internal team to develop go-to-market strategy to acquire initial customers. • Orchestrated customer acquisition plan by prospecting into Fortune 1000 and accessing my rolodex to set up meetings with CIO and VP level executives. • Coordinate meetings with VP and CIO level personnel at American Express, Johnson & Johnson, DuPont, JP Morgan-Chase, and Fidelity Investments. DuPont became first customer. • Applied social networking to solve business problems as well as knowledge management.
What they like about Asymetry Corporation:
The social vibrance of a hiring firm is very important to you. Your ability to make and maintain friendships there is a critical part of your decision. You would likely be dissatisfied with a workplace that is quiet, cold, or otherwise not particularly social. When you investigate a new hiring company, ask recruiters, managers, and potential co-workers about the social life and opportunities there. This is especially important when you are relocating; moving dramatically alters your social sphere both inside and outside the workplace.
