Daily Duties at Ast, Inc:
Combat Operations Analyst: Perform duties as a Janus interactor and combat operations analyst for the Wargaming and Simulations Directorate of TRADOC Analysis Center, White Sands Missile Range. Provide subject matter expertise in the areas of aviation and airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance assets as well as general combat arms tactical expertise. Assisted in software and hardware preparation for numerous Janus exercises. Serve as a Team Leader for Emergency Preparedness Incident Command Simulation (EPiCS). Responsibilities included: determination of software and hardware requirements to meet exercise parameters, coordinate for support at venue site, produce and publish flow charts of venue site to include controller stations, wrote operating instructions for all of the responder gaming positions, and conduct both rehearsal and exercise control. Prepared two exercises for the City of Alexandria, VA that tested emergency response and coordination planning, execution, and control of assets from local, state and national agencies in response to an emergency situation at a federal building. Was responsible for three demonstrations of EPiCS for National Institute of Justice Conference in St Louis, MO, Homeland Security Conference in Albuquerque, NM, and at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. Participated in the development and execution of EPiCS exercises for the Defense Threat Reduction, the Agency Post Authority of New York and New Jersey, and the Federal Protection Services. Responsible for developing and maintaining the data bases for five EPiCS CAMEX simulations. These are being developed to assist in training and testing Incident Command personnel in a variety of settings and stress levels. Responsible for the data collection for Task Force XXI (TFXXI) and Division XXI (DIVXXI) digitization training effectiveness. Compiled data into report format for submittal to the Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC). Conducted observations of Army training programs and recommended enhancements for future training. Provided assistance to MITER Corporation in their study of digital leadership training techniques. Developed the initial training effectiveness evaluation metrics for the Joint Contingency Force – Army Warfighter Experiment in Ft. Drum, New York. Supervise the activities, scheduling, training, and travel requirements for up to 45 analyst from various locations around the United States.
