Daily Duties at Sydney Olympic Broadcasting Organisation:
Under contract to provide production management for the Athens Games (2004) and also for the Sydney Olympics (2000) with the Sydney Olympics being a 2 year deal which held responsibility for: • Co-ordinating producer for Sydney West, implementing Olympic Host broadcasts of the Rowing venue, The Shooting venue, The Equestrian venue, Shooting venue and White Water venue. • Local and international hiring and management of some 400+ staff to cover all facets of the World Olympic Television Coverage. • Design and implementation of the graphic look and function with scoring using IBM Testing of all graphic systems functionality at IBM’s Madrid facility • Liaised with Government Officials, Foreign Sports bodies, and Host Broadcast rights holders and overseeing Olympic Federation Security implementation. • Travelled to and liaised with Olympic Sports Federations in Germany and Italy. • Lectured various Universities on their implementation of Olympic staff and their roles involving the Sydney Olympic coverage. • Design and implementation of booking services for Rights holders. • Managed the story concepts of venues, occupational health and safety training, production and writing of rights holders’ bibles. • Led the training of Olympic staff, and implementation of Emergency training and terrorist threat for all staff and medal rehearsal co-ordination and coverage.
