FremantleMedia is one of the largest international creators and producers of entertainment brands in the world with the Australian arm being formed through the acquisition of Crackerjack and Grundy. Appointed as the Senior Producer to initially manage the productions, promotions and shows for ESPN and also for the comedy show The Camera Trap, before moving into a more strategic focus which will enable the business to expand existing show offerings through sponsored advertising and studio joint ventures and international market integration. • Leading the initial drive to design a new selection of niche shows through the newly created advertising funded FreemantleMedia enterprise which has included: o Managing the design, concept and development of 5 shows from scratch; o Securing the talent of popular TV, Radio and Current Affairs personalities; o Directing business development activities to initiate advertising and sponsor revenues; o Setting requirements for budgets, costs and resources. • Planning, coordinating and supervising all aspects of show production from initial concept through to actual broadcast and subsequent evaluation for the ESPN contract (a multi-million dollar contract). • Preparing cost estimates for equipment, resources and labour in preparation of production budget. • Completing detailed reviews and analysis against show ratings and discussing the outcome of each show with key stakeholders and Executive Teams. • Day to day production / operations management including set design, production co-ordination, organising talent, booking production facilities and overseeing design and graphics. • Negotiating local and international contractual agreements for the use and supply of talent. • Ensuring final production meets with company goals for achieving profit margins and identifying opportunities to drill down and reduce future costs without compromising quality. In total, over 11 show series were made which included some 140 episodes of ESPN's Pardon the Interruption, ESPN game shows and ESPN Commercials , securing key returns for both the client and FremantleMedia alike.
