Daily Duties at State & Federal Associates:
When I started at State & Federal Associates (S&FA); I brought technology into the company. In the beginning (1988), S&FA had 20 users, and 5 computers for the entire company. Over the 7 years, they greatly expanded the company to 150 users; all with DOS PC’s running WordStar connected to three Novell 3.11 networks, connected via Ethernet, which I set up and managed. I also negotiated, acquired, and managed a Rolm PBX for S&FA, in addition to a newly started, reimbursement hotline. I setup Automatic Call Distribution (ACD), for 35 custom 800 numbers. These 800 numbers for which this hotline handled, were used for reimbursement questions, and several different medicines from major pharmaceutical companies. This procedure saved a substantial amount of money.
