Daily Duties at Advanta Corp.:
• Drive real estate strategy and operations for all corporate facilities in U.S. and India (@ 360,000SF). Direct up to nine (9) reports and worldwide team of twenty-three (23) in day-to-day operations of corporate facilities: space planning and design; construction supervision (world headquarters, call centers, data centers); security; vendor management/ performance; R&M; cafeterias; gymnasiums; fleet management; art portfolio management; mail services and reception. Currently effecting a consolidation of facilities: negotiating favorable exit position or reduced footprint with landlords with initial first year savings @ $2 Million; decommissioning FF&E assets to recapture maximum value. • Full P&L responsibility to forecast for growth and/or consolidation. Successfully managing to or beating operating and capital budgets in $40-65 Million range. Scalable. • Led company-wide programmatic establishment of FDIC and SOX compliant corporate records program. Achieved immediate 33% reduction in storage costs with additional savings expected to stabilize at 40% of prior expense levels. Report directly to Board of Directors. • Structure risk strategy and direct placement of all financial products and property/casualty insurance. Negotiated very favorable policy pricing (at 5-10% discount over prior year) and favorable policy text in extremely difficult financial services insurance market. • Design/administer SOX compliant vendor management program to effect corporate goals re premiere service and cost reduction. Re-envision protocols and enterprise-wide procurement and services contracts to ensure standards and minimize risk. • Manage legal strategy and performance and contain costs of outside counsel in real estate, insurance and records retention matters. • As Bank Security Officer for subsidiary banks, design physical security systems and protocols to comply with FDIC and SOX requirements. Conduct compliance training on annual basis. Manage outside security vendors. Report directly to Board of Directors.
