Daily Duties at Moore Handley Inc:
Responsible for all aspects and levels of recruiting, new-hire orientations (exempt and non-exempt), safety orientations, Powered Equipment classroom training, leading Safety Committee, Workers’ Compensation administration, and coordination of company wide activities that relate to Employee Relations. Assisted management team members in all areas of Employee Relations and administration of company procedures. Administered all benefits including Medical, Dental, Disability, and Life insurances as well as Pension and 401K plans. Worked closely with Workers’ Compensation insurance provider to ensure efficient and cost effective service for company employees. Reduced Workers’ Compensation claim totals from over 1 million dollars per year to only $35,000 per year in five years, improving Workers’ Compensation Modification Rate from 1.80 to 0.75 for two consecutive years and reducing yearly insurance premium costs by 66% per year. Published quarterly Health & Wellness newsletter and coordinate Wellness events with local healthcare providers.
