Daily Duties at Visiting Nurses Association:
Taught part of monthly inservice classes for new staff, helped new staff to get acclimated to documentation for Medicare. Part of Quality Performance and Performance Improvement Teams. Helped in conversion from paper to a computer based format. Ran the Avonex program in conjunction with neurology dept at Georgetown Medical Center. Consulted with IV educators and with the Nurse Practitioner to help with wound care management, diabetic teaching, cardiopulmonary assessment. Tried to keep staff aware of changes in Medicare changes, appropriate visit frequency, physical assessment sills. Arranged monthly Inservice for the Nursing staff.
