Daily Duties at Cbl & Associates Properties, Inc:
Held leasing responsibilities for five enclosed shopping malls throughout the southeast. Cultivated relationships with national, regional, and local retailers to negotiate new deals and maximize leasing income. Worked closely with contractors and mall management to analyze feasibility and cost to renovate a mall, demolish, split, or merge spaces and create vanilla boxes for incoming tenants. Forecasted annual budgets; updated budgets each month. Networked extensively, including attending Las Vegas, Charlotte, and Atlanta ICSC conventions. Oversaw and partnered regularly with general managers, property account managers, and marketing directors to design strategies for boosting NOI. Built Excel models and proformas to analyze various leasing opportunities; negotiated deals to achieve profitability as well as occupancy cost standards.
