Daily Duties at Arcelormittal Steel:
Coordinate with engineering team and outside contractors, as well as construction staff, to head and support multiple initiatives for largest steel manufacturer globally. Provide input for allocation and adherence to $25 million project budget. Design and maintain databases and reports to track budget and scheduling. Lead and attend weekly status meetings to discuss current projects. Interface with vendors and suppliers; generate purchase requisitions with attention to quality and cost. • Project lead for upgrading automation and controls of cranes to address issue with circuit safety. • Project lead in design of vision system for high-speed quality inspection of strip surface. • Created and implemented database which reduced manpower and material costs by over $100,000 through accurate, timely reporting. • Designed controls and automation for gas scrubber system.
